King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh is set to launch a phased terminal transition from February 16 to February 25, 2026, marking what airport officials describe as the most extensive operational overhaul in the airport’s history.
Over the 10-day transition period, international and domestic flights will be progressively reassigned across multiple terminals, impacting services operated by Saudia, flynas, flyadeal, as well as several foreign airlines.

Airport authorities said the move aims to enhance passenger flow, boost operational efficiency and elevate long-term service quality. Travelers have been urged to verify their assigned terminals in advance to avoid disruption.
Transition Dates and Terminal Changes in Riyadh Airport

- February 16: International flydeal flights departing after 12:00 a.m. will operate from Terminal 1.
- February 17: International Saudia flights departing after 3:00 a.m. will relocate to Terminal 2.
- February:
- All Saudia domestic flights departing after 12:00 a.m. will move to Terminal 4.
- Domestic flights operated by Saudia, flynas and flyadeal departing after 11:00 p.m. will also operate from Terminal 4.
- February 25:
- International flights operated by foreign carriers departing after 5:00 a.m. Will relocate to Terminal 5.
- Domestic flights operated by Saudia, flynas and flyadeal departing after 7:00 a.m. will operate exclusively from Terminal 3, which will be designed for domestic services.
Passenger Guidance of Phased Terminal Transition
KKIA advised passengers to arrive early, noting that check-in counters at the designated terminals will open four hours prior to departure. Travelers are also encouraged to remain in close contact with their airlines to receive real-time updates throughout the transition.
